Our company name, “Catena”, means "connection” "link", and "chain" in Latin.
It's an image of boundless spread of wonderful connections which are looped and firmly linked and create new stages one after another.

Rie Miyata
Rie Miyata
Originally from MiyazakiCity, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan.
From working at a Japanese housing equipment company, LIXIL Corporation to opening her own practice. After that, she started up a grocery store called Foodaly, at Hattori Co.,Ltd. in 2001. She has made the company grow successfully in 12 years by selling selected products.
By the time she debuted in food industry, she established “Catena inc." in September 2013. As a consulting service industry that revolves around feminine perspectives, we provide a wide range of services such as branding, production, product development, and package design with local governments and companies. The majority of her clients involve food-focused companies and local governments.
She works as a brand marketing advisor for the Miyazaki Prefecture, and as a coordinator at the Japan Pavilion Expo Milano 2015. Furthermore, she also greatly participates in brandings and consultations to develop products for regional revitalization, significantly in Kochi prefecture and in Takeo city, Saga prefecture.
Her jobs also include planning and managing oversea promotions for instance, by exporting Japanese shōchū to European countries, which by doing so, creates mutual contacts between Japan and abroad. Since 2018, she has been in an evaluation committee at exporting business awards by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in Japan.
Besides, she organised an agricultural corporation, “Lieto” in Piemonte, Italy in 2019 to promote agritourism business by raising grapes and winemaking.
